Foncier Québec - Ministry of Natural Resources and Wildlife of Québec. As part of the project "100% digital cadastre" the MRNF (Foncier Quebec) awarded SIGEDOC a contract to do major work for the preparation, indexing, scanning, processing, archaving and storing in boxes, of more than:
• 1 000 000 pages of books of reference (37 X 55 cm)
• 500 000 plans of various sizes that can exceed A0
The objectivess of Foncier Québec to achieve are :
• Provide official collections on line for the customer at (www.registrefoncier.gouv.qc.ca)
• Improve the operational functioning of the internal and external clients
• Ensure the sustainability of the heritage of cadastral archives
In this regard, SIGEDOC deployed a scanning center of more than 20 people, right in the local of the cadastral archives. The work will take place over a period of more than 18 months (until automn 2011).
The scanning project manager, SIGEDOC VIP, was implemented and adapted to the needs and specific requirements of the project.
In the end, via SIGEDOC VIP, the original images (TIF) and distribution (PDF) produced will be of exceptional quality. The treatment with added high value, the process integrity of SIGEDOC and the full traceability of documents in the production cycle will allow Foncier Québec to obtain new digital originals (with legal validity) of their collections.
